A phone or in person consultation is the first step of the process. This is when we learn all about you,  your family, and your hopes and wishes for your new home so that we can get aligned with your vision and make a game plan for bringing it to reality. A successful project starts with clear communication to ensure your needs are met. The initial consultation will include an overview of the existing spaces, your goals for the project, a rough timeline for completion, and your estimated budget.

Based on our consultation, we will present you with a personalized Interior Design agreement that will outline the project scope and design fees. Upon approval of the agreement and payment of the design fee retainer we will begin your project.

We take time to study the architect’s plan and analyze the form, function, and flow. We do a thorough review from an inside-out perspective, making sure that windows will align with furniture placement, etc., and then work collaboratively with the architect to tweak the plans as needed. We also collaborate with the Landscape Architect to ensure that the design of your home is cohesive from the interior to the exterior. OR if your home or condo is existing, we schedule a site visit to take measurements and photos of the space. We will use this information to develop plans, elevations, and details for the accuracy of your project.

This is where we inspire you with visual design concepts ( Vision boards and renderings when needed) to springboard our presentation that begins in phase 5

We begin our selections for your home with a design concept: a general idea of the overall look and feel that you are trying to achieve. The first major pieces of the puzzle come together with your appliance and plumbing selections, which begin to form the layout for your kitchen, bars, and bathrooms throughout. We then coordinate with your various subcontractors such as cabinetry and closet companies to make sure that all comply with the overall vision for your home.

This is the fun part! The in person final presentation meeting allows you to visualize what the finished space will look like. This is also where we review the budget in detail. The presentation will include the following:

• Color scheme

• All furnishings 

• We work with you to select and procure all the furnishings and decorative lighting and accessories needed for your home. All furniture is customized to you specifically and is presented to you in our studio along with the proposed fabrics and finishes. We then handle all ordering, tracking, shipping, and delivery to your home with our signature white-glove service

• Working drawings as needed: Interior Drawings include: A full or Partial set of Interior Drawings depending on your projet…

This set will include all of your tile layouts in plan and elevation, your finish schedule, your door schedule, ceiling details in plan and section as needed, furniture layout with floor outlet placement, stair details, wall elevation details, exterior selections, and all other pertinent information that is needed to bring the design concept to reality.

Once construction is underway, we are there throughout the construction process as a partner to you and your builder to ensure that all is built according to plan and to answer any questions that come up along the way. We are willing and happy to make visits to the job site whenever needed. We like to be involved in walk-throughs from plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins to cabinetry layout questions and beyond. Once your presentation and proposals have been approved and paid, we begin placing orders, during the construction phase.

All furniture that is ordered is received, inspected, and carefully stored in our local warehouse until the house is complete and ready to be furnished. On install day, we arrive with a full crew to unpackage, inspect and place all furniture and accessories in your home in a white glove fashion. We make your beds, stage your accessories, hang your art and get everything cleaned up and perfected for your arrival and the big reveal and walkthrough.
